The voice of nature is both awesome and sublime. We seek shelter from its extremes in the structures we build yet we often travel, sometimes, great distances to seek out its inspiration and renewal.
So often Nature displays an ethereal quality where boundaries are not always so clear. It is in these states that nature strips away the inconsequential and teaches us the greatest lessons about ourselves.
I believe that a garden is a personal retreat that speaks to the senses. It is both a synthesis of and a bridge between the built environment and the natural world. It is a place away from places. But most of all a garden is a place to come home to. Come home to nature.
